New Zealand Halal Union Trust (NZ-HUT) is a non-profit website aimed at:

1. Promoting the Qurbani (الأضحية) practice among the Muslims in developed countries (USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand).
2. Utilising the global Qurbani (الأضاحي) industry for best benefit of the poor and maximum satisfaction of the donors.
3. Using the skin and wool to preserve the heritage skills among the refugee communities in the developed and developing world through partnerships.
4. Organising international touring exhibitions to increase awareness of the need to preserve the heritage skills among the refugees.

Almost all the Muslims in the developed world (USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand) participate annually in offering Qurbani (الأضاحي), however the majority of them do not use the wool and skin. The main objective of nzhut.org.nz is to guarantee the donors that all parts of the animal will be utilised and no parts will be sold or exchanged. In other words utlising 100% of the Qurbani (الأضحية).

NZ-HUT is a registered charitable entity with an approved donee status from the NZ Inland Revenue Department (IRD). This means that NZ-HUT is exempted from paying income tax.
